July Finishes

Heart of my Hearts freebie from Papillon Creations finished as a small tote to carry around a little stitching project, two pockets in the lining and ribbon for handles - stitched using Anchor 157 & Polstitches Dragon Floss #7 Midnight Mist - stitched by Kristina

"This is 'I don't give a hoot' from Comastitch

I changed a few things - I used a dense blackwork fill pattern for the eyes, added a tummy in yellow and changed the feet & beak. He looks very 70s to me and I love him!"

Stitched on 28ct white monaco with various hand-dyed threads Sarsparilla (Gentle Art), Ohio Lemon Pie (Gentle Art), RIP Purple (Olde Willow Stitchery) & Nabimbi Sunset (Windy Hill Designs - from the Rainforest Dyer's Collaboration Pack) by Kristina

"Finally a finish! I have stitched this for my best friend, who's 34 weeks pregnant with twins. I enjoyed this project very much. I have yet to find an S shaped charm to attach for the letter S. I am going to try a few scrapbook shops and see what I can find there on Monday."

Sunday Sweet for July 21st

Stitched by Kell in 2006

"Of course I changed all the colors from the original...and decided I didn't want the moons and stripe at the bottom backstitched (so the little witch pops more than the rest) I outlined the cat and bat with GITD DMC (used it on her eye and teeth too lol) and used black kreinik on the cat and bat too to give them a bit of sparkle."
